It's finally happening! The Jamerican is having a pop-up dinner at the Crazy Bastard Kitchen in Neukolln! We will do three days of amazing non-alcoholic drinks, music, and Jamaican and American meals prepared by me. I will have the support of guest chef Angel Maxine and I am very excited to have her in the kitchen!
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! This isn't just about a three day pop up. This is a fundraiser event to see if I can actually take over the Crazy Bastard Kitchen as they are now officially closed and the lease is up for grabs. I am trying to raise 38,000 euro to have a stake in this.
The thing is that the amount needed to possibly take over this lease is well below what is needed for an even smaller space. That amount is typically 80-100,000K. While I never really imagined working fulltime in a kitchen, it is such an amazing opportunity, I thought I would just try. So I am trying. I am looking for now more than 3 investors to go in at 5,000 each (or more). And I am asking the community to come through. Pre-order plates here on the site. Or go to the fundraiser and donate.
The rules broken down:
- Pre-ordering is ideal (you can order via here on the site or by going to the GoFundMe page and making the donation/pre-order and sending me your email address so I can add you to the list)
- Walk ins are welcomed, but I am reserving only a limited amount of walk-in meals based on how many pre-orders
- You can dine in or take away. To go will likely be pick-up only however
- Volunteers are welcomed. You can help out with 2-4 hour shifts, with pre pop up things such as poster hanging, promos etc. Or by coming by to help with set up and clean up, serving etc. The good thing about being a volunteer is whatever coffee sales we get, we split it with The BSWC susu fund and give volunteers up to 100 euro from the sales as a community donation.
